Boys' Brigade (9th Bromley)

Our company is part of Bromley Common Methodist Church, where there is always a warm welcome for anyone wishing to join us in our Church services.

There is a full programme of activities and we try to provide something that will interest every boy.

Sections of the Boys' Brigade

The Senior Section meets on a Friday night and as well as the activities listed below in the Company section, is also involved in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and various other life skills activities.

The Company section meets together with the older girls in the Girls' Brigade. We take part in Battalion competitions, which include: football, table tennis, basketball, athletics, swimming and ten pin bowling.

On meeting nights, boys and girls share joint activities. They work for badges involving a wide range of activities, for example: first aid, map reading, modelling, drama, cooking and decoration. We take part in Battalion camps, have an annual sponsored walk or treasure hunt and encourage expeditions and community work leading to higher Brigade and Duke of Edinburgh awards.

In the Junior Section we have football and handball teams. We take part in Battalion sports and other competitions. On meeting nights we have a varied programme of sporting activities and badge work, including drama. For the older boys: cycle maintenance and band.

The Anchor Boys enjoy many activities including handicrafts, singing, stories and games.
